Aged 75; (auto mechanic/cub scout and boy scout leader for many yrs./served as an engineer/firefighter for the Louisiana MO Fire Department, and as a Fire Chief for the Buffalo Township Fire Protection District/taught youth the importance of fire safety by playing Smokey the Bear for many yrs./lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Louisiana/drove a school bus as well as a semi-truck for many yrs.); son of the late William Sanford Thomas & the late Evelynn May (Ledford) Thomas (b. 11/23/1947 Iola, Allen County, KS; 1968 graduate of Iola High School (Iola, Allen County, KS) & got a degree in auto mechanics from Bailey Technical School (Saint Louis, St. Louis County, MO); former husband of the late Mary Lee (Lawrence) Thomas (m. 11/30/1968) & she preceded him in death on 3/28/2020 and of Christina Louise "Chris" (Spangler) Wheeler Kinkade Thomas (m. 3/31/1994) & she survives; father of William Joseph "Joe" Thomas, Charles "Scott" Thomas & Christina Nicole "Tina" (Thomas) Green; step-father of Alma Caroline "Amy" (Wheeler) Peery, Benjamin Wayne "Ben" Kincade, Thomas Christopher "T.C." Kincade & the late Hubert Wesley "Wes" Eugene Wheeler; brother of John Douglas "Doug" Thomas, Sharon Rae (Thomas) Kersten, the late Judith Kay "Judy" (Thomas) Lewis Wittie & the late Deanna Lynn (Thomas) Kornewald McIntyre
