Aged 90; (homemaker, wife & mother/worked for University of Missouri Extension and the Division of Family Services); daughter of the late Clarence William Payne and the late Martha Ann (Ball) Payne; raised by her paternal aunt, the late Pauline Virginia "Aunt Polly" (Payne) Kouns & her husband Clarence Frederick Kouns; 1950 graduate of Eureka High School (Eureka, St. Louis County, MO) & received a Bachelor's in Home Economics from the University of Missouri (Columbia, Boone County, MO); wife of the late Owen William Hayhurst (m. 12/28/1955 Crescent, St. Louis County, MO) & he preceded her in death on 11/2/2006; mother of John Eugene Hayhurst, David Lynn Hayhurst, Thomas Lee "Tommy" Hayhurst & Janet Ann (Hayhurst) Armontrout; she was raised with a special cousin who was like her sister--the late Mary Elizabeth Kouns (who died when she was 14)
