Aged 86; (homemaker, wife & mother/began her teaching career in central Missouri at Salisbury High School in Salisbury, MO, where she met her husband, Melvin/most of her career she taught Home Economics at Moberly Junior High in Moberly, MO); daughter of the late John Ernest Wylie & the late Bertha Francis (Singleton) Wylie (b. 6/28/1936 Independence, Jackson County, MO); step-daughter of the late Mary Beatrice (Milks) Smith Wylie; 1954 graduate of Northeast High School (Kansas City, Jackson County, MO), obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1958 from Central Missouri State College--now the University of Central Missouri--in Warrensburg, Johnson County, MO and earned her Master's Degree in Education at the University of Missouri-Columbia); wife of the late Melvin Albert Meyr (m. 8/15/1959 Kansas City, Jackson County, MO) & he preceded her in death on 9/29/2020; mother of Gerald Lyle Meyr & Karen Aileen (Meyr) Harness; sister of Kenneth Eldon Wylie; step-sister of Frederick William Smith & James Alvin Smith; (Note: only a death notice and service information appeared in the 2/15/2023 issue of the MMI)
