PLOT Prospect Hill-Lot 05 An account of Sherman’s death was published on Page 1 of the “Ottumwa Courier,” Monday, May 5, 1969. He was killed in an accident when his car struck the rear of a truck stopped on Highway 63, near Cairo, Missouri. He had been employed as a sheet metal worker at John Morrell & Co. 31 years. Survivors included his widow, the former Agnes L. Rainbolt; two sons, the Rev. David C. Goodwin and Jack Rex Goodwin, both of Blakesburg; two daughters, Gwendolyn (Goodwin) Gaston of Ottumwa, and Kathleen K. Goodwin of the home; five grandchildren; and one stepson, Ronald D. King of Waterloo, IA |
