(Howard) Olney (b. 8/25/1922 KCMO); 1940 graduate of Holliday High School (Holliday, Monroe County, MO); husband of Margaret Louise "Mert" (Dry) Olney (m. 8/20/1944 in a double wedding with Pete's sister, Margaret Ruth & Margaret Dry's cousin, Bernard Hartman); father of Barbara Jo (Olney) Jarman, Brenda Jean (Olney) Coffman & the late Richard Lee Olney; brother of Catherine Jean (Olney) Donovan, the late Margaret Ruth (Olney) Hartman Fielder & the late Joan (Olney) Plataka; half-brother of the late Mildred J. (Olney) Fielder, the late Rachael Madeline "Madge (Olney) Knowles, the late George Washington Olney, the late Albert Vernon Olney, the late Frederick Vinton Olney, the late Francis Vivien Olney (who died in infancy) & the late infant son Olney (who died at birth); Pete loved fixing up old cars and two of his cars appeared in movies--his '41 Chevy in "O' Brother, Where Art Thou" & his '32 Ford in "Cinderella Man"; (Note: a short death notice appeared in the 5/28/2020 edition of the Monroe County Appeal, as well.)
