Aged 94; (US Army WWII/Army National Guard/educator--teacher, principal, substitute & bus driver at Salisbury HS in Salisbury, MO and retired from MACC in 1991 after 23 yrs. of teaching there); son of the late William Johann "John" Meyr & the late Elsie Emilie (Niederstadt) Meyr (b. 7/20/1926 New Wells, Cape Girardeau County, MO); graduate of SMSU & got Master's Degree from Universtiy of Missouri-Columbia; husband of Doris Elaine (Wylie) Meyr (m. 8/15/1959 Bethany Baptist Church, Kansas City, Jackson County, MO--61 yrs.) & she survives of the home; father of Gerald Lyle Meyr & Karen Aileen (Meyr) Harness; brother of Arlene Elsie (Meyr) Coulter, Nelda Pauline (Meyr) Kridel & the late Lawrence Harold Meyer; (Note: A death notice only appeared in the 10/2-4/2020 weekend edition of the MMI.)
