Aged 97; (trained to become an engineer, but WWII brought him home to the family farm near Coin, Page County, IA & he ended up choosing farming as a vocation where his engineering training came in handy/member of the Moose & the Eagles and member and president of the Madison Lions Club/member of the UK National Golf team who played and beat the US team at St. Andrew's Golf Course in Scotland/took flying lessons); son of the late Robert James & the late Luella Carolyn (Dubois) Brown (b. 7/19/1923 Imogene, Fremont County, IA); former husband of the late Vera "Louise" (Chenoweth-Stewart) Brown (m. 12/23/1951 Moberly, Randolph County, MO) & she preceded him in death on 5/30/2005; father of Lona Lea (Brown) Yohe, Robert Stewart Brown & Jean Louise (Brown) Tompkins; brother of Donald L. Brown, his late twin sister Betty Alice (Brown) Allshouse, the late George Wayne Brown, the late John "Philip" Brown. the late Helen M. (Brown) Johnson & the late Bruce D. Brown
