Aged 96; (USN Reserve V-12 Pilot Training/Merchant Marines Pacific Coffeyville Victory/war ended with the dropping of the Atomic Bomb when Mel was on his way to Japan/worked for John Deere & then DuPont Chemicals Company in Philadelphia, Flint, MI, Sylvania, OH, Fairfield, CT & Moberly, MO--29 yrs./consultant at Orscheln's in Moberly for 6 yrs./lifelong Mason/Scout Master to Troop 14/established the North Central Missouri Safety Council along with his wife Jeanne); son of the late Francis Delos "Frank" Kissell & the late Ida Manilla (Hines) Kissell (b. 9/25/1924 Dubuque, Dubuque County, IA); 1942 graduate of Dubuque High School (Dubuque, IA) & 1949 graduate of the University of Dubuque with a degree in Chemistry; husband of Jeanne Margaret (Hogg) Kissell (m. 8/5/1947 University of Dubuque Chapel Debuque, IA) & she survives; father of Gregory Dean Kissell, Melanie Jeanne (Kissell) Smith Truitt, Rebecca Ellen (Kissell) Mann & Brian David Kissell; brother of the late Donald Wayne Kissell, the late Harold Edwin Kissell, the late Margaret Louise (Kissell) Bradley, the late Helen Marilyn (Kissell) Marshall & his late infant sister Marie Mae Kissell (who died at the age of 1)
