Aged 97; (USN veteran/worked for JCPenny, Ace Electric and Missouri Power & Light--now AmerenUE--29 yrs, before retiring as District Superintendent); son of the late James Earl Halley & the late Lucy Grace (Barron) Halley (b. 5/31/1923 Huntsville, Randolph County, MO); 1942 graduate of Huntsville High School--now Westran--(Huntsville, Randolph County, MO); husband of Velma Frances (Fleming) Halley (m. 10/4/1944 Moberly, Randolph County, MO--married 76 yrs.) & she survives; father of Kathy Lucinda (Halley) Holloway Rieser & James Allen Halley; brother of Barbara Ann (Halley) Henderson & the late Elmer Forrest Halley; half-brother of the late James Edgar Halley, the late Orville Norman Halley, the late Marvin E. Halley, the late Mary Ethel (Halley) Lee, the late Agnes Rebecca (Halley) McDonald & the late Mildred Elaine (Halley) Robson (note: his obit stated that he had been predeceased by 4 half-brothers--the possible 4th may be Marion Halley, but that may just be a mistyping of Marvin in the 1910 census. Marion only shows up in that census and after that you only see Marvin--ages are close, so hard to say if it is one person or two)
