Glance at the Past, "Hegarty Opera House"
Opera Houses in the late nineteenth century were the home to community culture. The Hegarty Opera House, which existed in its glory from 1880 to 1911, was the best in the area. The building burned in 1931, destroying the second floor Opera House part.
