"Namesake of Rothwell Park"
The longest serving mayor of Moberly was Rolla Renfro Rothwell. He served a total of ten years in the early 1900's. On September 23, 1907, a city bond issue of $25,000 passed and Forest Park was created under him. Renamed Rothwell Park posthumously.
